Finney received a letter from U. F. Rogers (Attorney at Law) dated 18 January 1865, in which Rogers wrote (page 2):

In your letter of the 13th ulto you

say &endash; "He (Rosendorff) may have the

place for $8000 payable in U.S.

5-20 bonds at par. He to pay all taxes

&c occurring since you paid for the

present year."
