[Autograph signed letter, in correspondence of Oberlin College.]

Cleveland 6th Feb. 1838

Dr. Br. Burnell.

The certificate of Miss

Leeds is only worth a premium of one per cent.

I send you per Mr. Jones 10,60 for her

the remaining 50,00 I shall retain which

you may pass to my account on score of

Salary. Should you write to Mr. Chapin

please inform him that the check on U.S.

Bank was recd. There is now no premium

on U.S. money. Dont know at this moment

whether I can conveniently let the commercial

Bank have the 100 dollars. Will if I find I

can consistently with my money affairs.

Health as usual.

Your Brother

C. G. Finney
